The Fence is a film featuring the story of a council estate kid living in 80s Bristol, out to settle a score with a bike thief.
For the poster, we wanted to steer clear of a cliché 'floating heads' film poster style, and instead create some original, more iconic artwork.
Inspired by old 80s film posters (especially The Bicycle), I wanted to capture the punky 80's vibe while foreshadowing some of the plot and location.
The illustration and typography was hand-drawn using ink and charcoal, and finished digitally.
